Work on some W2, make friends with Mi2, get happy with Huggins, curvy with Cadent, and learn to ‘interweave’ with IX. Sarah will walk you ‘one stroke at a time’ through the steps to create a variety of classic woven tangles from simple to sophisticated. She will also be teaching her woven variation of ‘Rixty’. 

Participants must have previously attended a Basics class. 

 Stay for the afternoon and join us for our egg decorating workshop (see below). Discounted price if you are registering for both classes.

Which came first, the tangled egg or the tangled chicken? And when does a straight line make a curve? Find out the answers to these paradoxical questions at this fun Zentangle workshop. Learn the simple but  beautiful tangle 'Rick's Paradox', how to use it to create 'twisted columns' and 'fans', and how to put these motifs together to create amazing designs. Then let's mix up this tangle with more of your favorites, and a variety of pens, and tangle up some beautiful white and brown eggs. 

 Participants must have previously attended a Basics class.

Skills workshop: 'Quandary, Fife and The Flower of Life'

10-12pm

Kamala Art and Soul, Holliston, MA

Taught by Sarah Del Mastro

No need to be in a quandary about 'Quandary'! This workshop will explore Quandary, Fife and other tangles that use a seed shape. Experiment with creative variations of these tangles and finish your artwork traditionally with pencil shading, or attend the afternoon workshop to turn them into colorful ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Artwork)

Color your world at Kamala

Saturday April 25th, 1-3pm

We will be playing with colored papers and colored pens to create whimsical, layered Zentangle Inspired Art using the patterns taught in the morning class, Quandary and Fife.
One of the color skills we will learn is how to judge the look that you want to achieve and proceeding from there.  
Kate will also show you how to draw the Flower of Life, using circles. 
It begs for color!
Or we can simply dive in and see what the colors give us!
Kate has all the supplies on hand to share.
